Religion vs. Atheism
And then there are the atheists who fuck people over every chance they get and the religious people who do good because they can and they want to not because they “just want to get to heaven”. Would everyone please just stop acting like everyone in a certain category is WOW GOOD and everyone in another category is OMG BAD because frankly it just proves you’re seeing everything in black and white whether you’re religious or atheist, and frankly it makes you sound like a bit of a prat. The same goes for acting like all LGBT are some kind of social rights martyrs and all cis-straight people are automatically evil backwards jerks because it simply isn’t true. Stereotyping and prejuidice are stereotyping and prejudice no matter who’s doing it or how much “proof” you have to back it up, and it is fucking OBNOXIOUS so please just stop.
Tell you one thing - there is no doubt that there are good people and bad people among both groups. There are good people who do good things and bad people who do bad things. But only religion will make good people do bad things.
Or in other words, tell me if there is anything good that an atheist wouldn’t do that a religious person would do and if there is anything bad religious person would do that an atheist wouldn’t do.
It doesn’t prove I see everything in black and white. It proves I see that a MAJOR part of a group that shares certain unproven and unjustified belief does harm to the world and does it constantly. Just because there are some good folks, who happen to also believe and NOT make bad things (which is kind of contradictory), doesn’t mean we shouldn’t bash all those retards who prohibit condoms, condemn gays or cut out parts of penises/vaginas.
